I’ve been drawing, painting, and experimenting with numerous mediums since childhood in efforts to create new and innovative ways of self expression. While tattooing has not been a part of my life for nearly as long, I have had tremendous success in taking what I learned on canvas and applying it to skin.
I started drawing very young, thanks to my mother. She believed that one could accrue more creativity with a blank sheet of paper rather than with a coloring book (she was right). Over the years I would thrive in diverse artistic application, trying everything from computer graphics to glassblowing. When I stumbled upon tattooing, it was simply by designing illustrations for my friend’s ink. It wasn’t until my drawings took the interest of a couple artists in Hampton Virginia that I began taking this regime of skin art seriously. I immersed all my free time into staying in that shop and learning all that I could from my two mentors (Jose Sanchez and Joe Weber). Upon graduating school, I was able to devote the last of a three year apprenticeship uninterrupted, and successfully acquire my “officially part of the industry” license.
Today, my faith and surroundings have allowed me to hold the same passion for art and the art of tattoo. I will always be learning and moving intrepidly in the direction of a more skilled artist in every spectrum.

I enjoy and appreciate the more classical periods of art like renaissance, boroque, impressionism, and surrealism. However, I’ve found my applications to be more influenced by styles like nouveau, American comic book illustration, and a more “new school” approach to tattoo. I dabble in realism and portraiture, but my comfort zone resides prominently in the styles I practice more often.
I am an active artist outside of tattooing as well. The mediums I exercise regularly include graphite, pen & ink, ink wash, oil paint, and prism color (pencil and marker). Again, my influences are pulled from a variety of sources, but I manage to retain my own personal style.

I’m a Hampton Roads based artist and have been licensed in tattooing since 2009. I love what I do, and have my wife, family, friends, and loyal customers to thank for everything. All the work here is custom, and I‘m always happy to take on new clients with inventive ideas and a clean canvas. If you find my work to your liking, please feel free to contact me to set something up, or to just let me know what you thought of what you saw.
