Having been tattooing since 1995, I’ve sat at many a station, worn several hats at different stages of my career, and had the pleasure of working next to some of the most creative individuals I’ve ever known…being in Hampton Roads since spring of 2004 has been no different…a great learning experience this has been so far, as i’ll be looking forward to a long stay and a good future here…In my time in the Tidewater region, I believe that I have become more of the tattooer that I always was, and more in touch with my own way or style of doing things…my color palate has expanded, my approach to all projects big and small has gotten smoother and more systematic…my tattoos and artwork have improved in part because of the environment I am in, the artists around me, and the open minded clientele who choose me to do their work…

2018 will be my 23rd year as a tattooer, and my artistic influences outside of tattooing are still the same as they’ve always been…the visionary and spiritual arts, surrealism, religious arts and iconography, the Victorian and nouveau eras, art throughout history from the Asian continent, and of course American pop culture…with all of these interests and influences, my work has moved to a more balanced level, employing symmetry and asymmetry, incorporated with the flow of the body, using as much color or tone as possible in every piece that I do…when I can find the time, I very much enjoy painting in oils, acrylics or watercolors, I still like to draw in colored pencils, and taking photographs… …availabilty…

If asked what my favorite style to tattoo in is, I would reply that I am very much a tattooer who came up in the 90’s, and I’m trying to find the balance in my own sur’reality with some substance…but, for as much as much as I appreciate black and gray work for its classical appeal, I prefer working in color…in any case, the larger I get to tattoo, the better…as I progress in my career, I’m doing mostly large scale pieces, and look forward to more…as such, many of the tattoos I do these days are multiple session work at an hourly rate…

After 8 years of being open, I am still tattooing at studio evoLve, in Virginia Beach, tuesdays through saturdays…I’m usually stay booked three to six months ahead of time, and I prefer to have an in person, or email, consultation with my clients before I schedule any time for them, or take a deposit…please stop in the shop, email, or visit the studio website for more information… www.gabrielcece.com gabrielcece.llc@gmail.com

My name is Taryn and I LOVE to tattoo. I strive to make each experience as comfortable, unique and as fun as possible. I love getting to put my spin on your ideas, but I’m just as happy to give you that piece of flash that you’ve had saved in your phone for two years, waiting for the right moment to get it. I enjoy doing illustrative tattoos, color and black and grey, stippling, etc. My favorite thing to tattoo would be anything nature related like bugs, flowers or plants.

When I’m not tattooing, which is rare, I enjoy playing video games, learning and studying up on current fixations, getting lost inside the world of J.R.R. Tolkien, and spending time with my family.

I believe in equal rights for all humans and will not tolerate intolerance. Your body is welcomed and accepted in my space and I look forward to working with you!
